Inside Cher and Madonna's 30-year feud - from 'spoiled brat' to brutal insult
Cher has spoken out about the rumored feud between herself and Madonna after clips featuring herself play during the Queen of Pop’s ongoing Celebration Tour.
During the old interview which is used, the Believe singer called the music icon “a spoiled brat” and didn’t seem to have anything very kind to say about Madonna.
“Burying the hatchet”
In a new interview with the Los Angeles Times, the 77-year-old said that the pair are now on good terms and that the clips used on the tour were actually quite tame.
“I said a lot worse than that. I actually like her. But come on.”
“It seems to me when you reach the kind of acclaim that she’s reached… you should be a little bit more magnanimous, and a little bit less of a c***,” Cher says in the video, along with calling Madonna a “spoiled brat.”

Asked if the Material Girl singer could be mean, Cher responded: “She can be.
“We buried that hatchet a long time ago because I called her something so much worse, and she forgave me.”
Cher sings Madonna’s praises
Later in the interview, she proved they had moved past their spat.
Cher praised the 65-year-old: “There’s no one like her that had their ear to the ground and knew everything before anybody else. I mean, she knew what was coming, and she was right on it. I always felt that was her greatest gift – that she could know the trends before any of us.”
A representative also doubled down on the state of their relationship.
They added: “The mean statement was made many years ago” and that Cher has “expressed admiration for [Madonna] as an artist and humanitarian.”
Madonna’s tour almost didn’t go ahead
Madonna was hospitalized earlier this year over a health scare. She received care for a bacterial infection and spent time in ICU. The Celebration Tour was postponed and began earlier this month.
After waking up from the ordeal, she shared a statement with fans saying that she was “on the road to recovery.”
In a post to her Instagram, she wrote: “Thank you for your positive energy, prayers, and words of healing and encouragement. I have felt your love. I’m on the road to recovery and incredibly grateful for all the blessings in my life,” she penned.
“My focus now is my health and getting stronger, and I can assure you, I’ll be back with you as soon as I can! I couldn’t be more grateful for your support,” she concluded.
